Bibio - Ambivilance Avenue

I didn't really plan on blogging at 2AM this morning, especially since I have drivers ed at fucking 8AM tomor- today, but I just downloaded this album today and I'm in LOVE. Bibio's sound is like everything I want in relaxing music. I can't get over how perfect this album is to me. Not even gonna try to classify it.

Brand New Adidas Nizza

I've always been pretty hyped on the Adidas Originals Nizza silhouette, and Adidas just killed it again with their newest. Heres some really fresh pics straight outta Hypebeast.

I went to the store that I was planning to buy a new pair of shoes from today and they didn't have my size. So instead of posting my kicks today I'm gonna start what this blog is mostly for- sharing good, obscure albums with you guys. Currently listening to Dinosaur Jr's new album Farm to cheer me up.

This here is Black Paris 86 by Arms and Sleepers. It's difficult to fit into a genre, but I'd say it's a mixture of Breakbeat and Post-Rock. It's got the ambiance and clean guitar-arpeggios often seen in post rock, but they're supported with a backdrop of either sampled or made-to-sound-like-it's-sampled beats. It's mostly instrumental and great driving music.

#1. Tortoise: Beacons of Ancestorship

Jazzy instrumental Post-rock goodness. Tortoise has been on of my top 5 favorite bands since I discovered TNT quite a while back, and their latest release is really fantastic, a great recovery from their underwhelming previous release.

#2. El-P: Fantastic Damage

Really fucking good underground Hip-Hop. This is one of the albums that's gonna be consistently on these lists. El-P's flow is almost unrivaled in it's dexterity and rhythm and his raw, lo-fi production counterpoints his perfected flow amazingly by introducing an element of imperfection. I keep finding new punchlines and rhythmic wonders in this album to be impressed with. By the way, if you like this you can try his other most popular release, I'll Sleep When You're Dead, but honestly I don't really like it. It's really whiny and annoyingly political.

#3. Smashing Pumpkins: Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness

Getting past his voice is the best thing I ever did. This album has some brilliant stuff in it, and it doesn't really get boring even though its got like more than 20 songs on it.

Really cool mixture of Doom metal and Shoegaze. Don't let the Doom influence put you off, it's for both fans of metal and other genres. I always pull it out when I'm high.

How The Fuck Are You

I'm doing good, how are you, this is my first blog post.

The purpose of this blog is for me to allow you to hear the music, view the kicks, and experience the life that I enjoy.

I figured to start things off I would post my current 5 favorite albums. I'll probably end up posting my 10 favorite albums every month or so since it changes fairly drastically as time goes by.

I'd post my kicks collection, but since I'm grabbing some tomorrow I'll wait till then.
